Following a long project of continuous improvement, the C-Lever/15 steam valve is available as a spare part as of December 2015. The material used for the movement of the cams and the valve stem seal has been modified. The movement of the cams is made of PEEK (brown color) and PEEK 450 PVX (with the addition of graphite, black color): these are high-performing thermoplastic materials which do not require lubrication, due to the graphite, they are self-lubricating ensuring excellent resistance to wear. To make the movement of the valve stem more fluid, Rancilio have removed the o-rings, replacing them with a conical seal made of PTFE.
The individual cams are also available as spare parts, fully adaptable to the valves made previous to this change. The part numbers are: R10701240 kit C-Lever/15 cam PEEK LEFT and R10701239 kit C-Lever/15 cam PEEK RIGHT.
