The Ascaso Steel Duo PID offers a unique combination of style and technology amongst the double boiler machines. The Duo PID combines industrial styling with technologies to make it a unique and compelling option in the double boiler machine category. With features like PID temperature control, 58mm professional portafilter, volumetric controls, externally adjustable over-pressure valve, brew pressure gauge, no burn steam wand and an two insulated thermoblocks; the Ascaso Steel DUO PID will suit every home or small office setup.
Features:
- PID Temperature Control: The PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controller allows the user to precisely adjust the brew or steam temperature and improve temperature stability. It also doubles as a shot timer while brewing.
- Energy Efficient Thermoblocks: The stainless steel and aluminum thermoblock combined with the PID controller results in exceptional temperature stability and fast warm up time. On demand heat combined with insulation also makes the Steel Duo PID very energy efficient. The two thermoblocks mean that you can brew and steam for an efficient workflow.
- Externally adjustable OPV: Brew at the pressure you want thanks to an externally adjustable over pressure valve (OPV).
- Volumetric controls: Program 2 doses to a precise volume of water to improve repeatability.
- 100% stainless steel water path: The entire water path is made of AISI 316 stainless steel to ensure no metal migration and reduce limescale build-up.
- Wood Accents: Walnut wood knobs as well as a wood handle on the58mm commercial grade portafilter complete the look of the Steal Duo PID.
- Professional tamper: Comes standard with a 57mm steel tamper. A 58mm tamper does not fit in the OEM basket due to the shape, but the basket can be upgraded to a precision basket to accommodate 58./58.5mm tampers.
